Songs about the Vietnam War: The prompt of the project was to make anything about the Vietnam War. I decided to make a lyric book showing the difference between the Pro-War and Anti-War songs from that era. When planning for the project, I was greatly inspired by the book called “The Vietnam Reader: The Definitive Collection of American Fiction and Nonfiction on the War.
The Best of Nighthawks
The purpose of this project was to create an ABC book. I decided to make it about something that relates to what I loved the most at that time the songs that I always listened to. Since I usually stay up late, I decided to use Edward Hopper’s painting “Nighthawks” since it accurately portrayed the loneliness of the nighttime.
Trilogía de Guillermo del Toro Redesign
This project is meant to be focused on creating eco-friendly packaging that is a clear improvement over the current packaging. I decided to redesign the “Trilogía de Guillermo del Toro” box set by Criterion Collection. It seemed more eco-friendly to get rid of the excess material of the DVD boxes themselves as well as have it be made from cardboard-like material rather than plastic ideally. I also decided to make the covers be minimal but “bloody” showing the iconic imagery from the movie.
The Raven
I redesigned the Edgar Allan Poe classic “The Raven” which emphasizes on the importance of color, images, and typography. Since it is a very old book and in the horror genre, it as important for it to be in black and white.
